Following the completion of a Bachelor Degree in Technical Production at NIDA, Fritha began her career in Production as an Assistant Stage Manager in musical theatre in 1995 on Miracle City. She continued to move through the Stage Management ranks on touring productions including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, An Ideal Husband, Showboat, Fame, Lone Star,

Nick is a Technical Director with over 20 years experience in the production world. As a Technical Director his recent credits include the Athens 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games (Athens 2011), the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies (Singapore, 2010), Singapore

National Day 2007, 2008 and 2009, the 18th Arabian Gulf Cup Opening Ceremony (Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.), Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Shanghai World Expo 2010 (Australian Pavilion), Japan World Expo 2005 (Australian Pavilion), the Athens 2004 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Rugby World Cup 2003 Ceremonies. He also has a broad experience in other roles associated with the technology for major events, including Project Manager, Communications for the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 Ceremonies and the Ceremonies Communications for Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Nick also consulted to the London 2012 Olympic Ceremonies for Communications.

 

Nick has also been Technical Director for many major events within Australia including the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in 2011 and many Australia Day Celebrations in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

 

Nick was Consulting Technical Director for the construction of the venue and the delivery of the Franco Dragone Entertainment production, The House of Dancing Water in the City of Dreams resort, Macau; the largest water based show in the world; and the most expensive theatre production ever created.

 

Throughout 2011, 2012 and 2013, Nick consulted to a number of bodies associated with the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games Ceremonies including the stadium architects (Populous), The Ceremony Producers (Ceremonies Staging Agency), Ceremony Consultants (FiveCurrents and Film Master Events, Balich Worldwide Shows) and the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee. Nick was finally engaged by FiveCurrents as Senior Technical Director, Systems and Capital Works for the delivery of the four Ceremonies.

 

Most recently Nick was the Senior Technical Director for the Baku 2015 European Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Azerbaijan.

The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Cabaret, The Producers, Billy Crystal’s 700 Sundays, We Will Rock You, Little Women, Guys and Dolls, Wicked and Annie. She also toured Australia with the Bell Shakespeare regional touring company shows.

Over the years, Fritha has also worked on a large number of Corporate events including the Lord Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Party, Carols in the Domain, Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards, Optus Staff events, several Product Launches and most recently, the Google Deepmind AlphaGo tournament in Seoul.

Fritha has also been the Production Stage Manager for Wicked and the world premiere of the new musical theatre productions, Dr Zhivago, An Officer and a Gentleman and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. She also held the position of Head of Production for the Gordon Frost Organisation.

As well as a Stage Manager on the Sydney Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies and 2003 Rugby World Cup, Fritha was the Show Caller for many international events including Singapore National Day 2007, the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Ceremonies and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 15th Asian Games in Doha.

Fritha was the Head of the Stage Management on the 2007 Arabian Gulf Cup in Abu Dhabi and the Australia Day Spectacular in Sydney 2013.

Fritha furthered her international Ceremonies career when she went on to be the Show Logistics Manager and Master Scheduler for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Building on the wide ranging experience across many production aspects, Fritha has now broadened her responsibilities, becoming a Producer on major international events including the 1st European Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2015.

Most recently Fritha was the Show Control Producer for the 44th UAE National Day Celebrations in Abu Dhabi and for the 2016 Copa America Centenario Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
